funny but not on a boat as it turns out it was the brake pedal location switch wich was stuck unlike some of you responders

There is also a tsb on the 05's for problems not shifting out of park. It had you inspect the shift contol lever for a rubber bumper and if it is missing they want you to install a new one with some other stuff.
