Are you throwing the Knock sensor code? If the MAF was toast you shouldn't get over 2000 RPM because the computer bypasses and goes to the crank sensor or something like that. 3000 sounds like knock sensors to me. First guess anyway.

Wiggle the crank sensor connector with the car running. If it stalls, there you go.

Did you find the problem? Mine was doing the exact same thing. A couple days ago I shut it off and it wouldn't restart. I don't hear the fuel pump running, but I haven't had a chance to troubleshoot it yet. If you found the source of your problem and have any advice on where to start looking, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

How did you address the incompatible connections between the 95 and 92 CAS? I would look there for your issues...

If the ECU cannot resolve the 1 degree pulses [360 slots in CAS] it defaults to the 90 degree Hall effect secondary [emergency] sensor in CAS.

The 90 degree sensor is used to begin the start [crank] process.Page EF/EC 30 in FSM explains this fail safe system and points out that the rpm will not rise above 3,000 rpm.

I DID GET EVERYTHING FIGURED OUT, THE PROBLEM WAS THE C.P.S PLUG, IT HAD TO BE KINDA FORCED ON TO THE LOCKING TAB, IT THREW A # 11 CODE, RESET THE E.C.U AND IT IS RUNNING VERY WELL, I DONT KNOW IF IT'S JUST ME BUT THE 95 ENGINE SEEMS TO HAVE A LITTLE MORE POWER, MAYBE THE MILEAGE (99K) OR IF INFINITI DID SOMETHING TO THE HEADS IN MID 94??, EITHER WAY, IT'S GREAT TO HAVE THE Q SLIDING SIDEWAYS AGAIN, MUST NOTE THE FIRST GEAR START ECU IS ALOT MORE FUN OFF THE GO, THANKZ TO ALL WHO REPLYED WITH INFO/HELP TO GET IT GOING AGAIN,,
