Yeah I don't blame you. Did everyone make it out alright? No firsthand experience with that extent of damage, unfortunately.
I'd do your research and find the best body shop near you (probably with a fancy name like collision repair shop). Maybe even a dealership. The more attention to detail that's put in, the more it's going to cost. If they do end up deciding to repair it, you'll at least have the satisfaction of knowing it's done right. It's a good move even if you were hoping to keep it, and a no-brainer since you weren't at fault and won't be the one footing the bill anyway.
I'm guessing that talking to your insurance company would be a good idea as well. Tell them you won't feel safe in it, that even if the repairs are perfect the value of the car's going to be seriously impacted, etc. I'm not sure they'd be able to do anything, but it feels like it'd be worthwhile to put it out there.
