will KA24DE engine bolt to KA24E transmission?

Okay this might be a newbie kind of question, but I seriously need to know because i'm out to have a ALL motor quick KA24DE in my 89 240sx. I can find motors, but no transmissions in my area and i'm wondering if the ka24de will bolt on to my ka24E transmission? Will it bolt on w/ no modifications? Or is there modifications needed? Do the spline's match up? I'm a former-DSMer and the 240sx thing is totally new to me..hell having a naturally aspirated car is totally new to me.. so..*pushing pride aside* I need help.

yes it will. all 240s 89-98 use the same manual transmission.

Do they have the same sensors mounted on the transmission?

demitrius, are u sure they are the same, cuz ive heard from a ton of ppl that the bellhousings are different.

On the other hand, I have heard they are exactly the same as well.

if they are, im pickin up my friend's SOHC transmission, so lets get the final word.

they are the same. you need to change bellhousings if you're using an sr transmission.
