Will KA transmission work on S13 SR

Does anyone know for sure if the KA transmission will work on the SR motor without any modification.. My SR transmission went out and i have an extra KA transmission laying around just trying to make things work..any help appreciatedchris :confused:

no, the starter motor and the bell housing bolt patterns are different. Internals will work though.

You just have to swap the bell housings. For trannies: RB20=SR20=KA24, just all have different bellhousings.

how hard is it to swap the internals over?????

same as rebuilding a transmission..cause that is what you're doing. How hard depends on your mechanic knowledge. I say not really-kinda sorta ah.

lolany special tools needed to do this that i wouldn't have in a standard garage????

Standard tool set..Sockets, wrenchs, screwdrivers, plyers...Better to have and not need than to need and not have.Some tools aren't required, but in my experiance, I've used tools for completely other than standard use to get what I need done.
