I am wondering if the JDM VH41DE swap will work with US wiring harness and computer. If someone could point me to info about this swap I'd appreciate it.

I would GUESS you will need the original (to the engine) ECU. The JDM VH41 is preferred to the USDM engine.

I'm sure someone else will chime in here who knows better than I do, but I also think it may depend on whether you're just swapping the long block or doing a complete motor swap (peripherals and accessories).

There was an AWD cima with the VH41DE available in the land of the rising sun. You would be able to tell just by looking if you had the AWD equipped one. Make sure your your engine is dated 96+ as the previous year engines (Y32 cima) were slightly differentl. Other than TCS/Non TCS it will work fine. The major differences between the cost cutting USDM engine is the exhaust manifolds and some lightly weaker components.

Mettler seems to know a bit about the JDM vs USDM Vh engines.
