Will it ping ?

I have a Wideband Oxygen Sensor, and a EGT sensor.

If I maintain 11:1 A/F ratio through out the whole RPM ranch, and maintain relatively stable Exhaust Gas Temperature (not too hot or cold).... Will I still get ping/knock ?

thanks

Depends on your ignition timing...

You can have a safe A/F and sh!tty timing and get knock.

What is your fuel/timing/ECU setup?

And don't leave the A/F that rich when your not under boost...i.e. say your boost comes on at 2600rpm in 4th - Tune for a 13.5:1 or so, and run more timing (just like an N/A car) until you enter boost.

This will help spool, off boost response/driveability, etc...

Stock ECU. Running stock timing.Plan to run 6:1 FMU , S-AFC, and 370cc injectors. MSD 6A in future, but not in current plan. Unless I have to or any reason. I don't see many people doing it, so have no clue how great is MSD 6A.

How's stock timing ? Will it still ping ?n Or I have to retard a few degree to be in safe side ?

I have T3 turbo, 2.5" IC pipe, Saab Intercooler, and running 7psi.

Later going to bring in Alcohol injections and Toluene for higher boost. Will stock timing still be ok ? Too bad our car don't come in Ping Indicator.

I would use the EGTs to tune the timing once you get a stable A/F mixture. For low boost I would run 18 degree base timing, maybe 16-17.
