hey,I have a 95 max. I'm looking to install a double din cd player/navi with these specs>>

Dimensions W 7" x H 4" x D 6.5"

will it fit into my existing bose CD player space? does anyone have anything wider than 6.5"??

Do you know what the size code (I,J,E,DD), or the chassis size, of your receiver/navigation unit. If so you can go to http://www.crutchfield.com/ and get a list of size codes (I,J,E,DD), or the chassis sizes that will fit in the 95 maxima dash without any modifications. I think that most "double-din" receivers/navigation units are sized DD and will easily fit into the maxima dash.

it gives me the codes as J and DD.

also i went to their product search and looked up the one i want and once i selected my car the site told me it fits and all the details about fittings and wiring. crutchfield was a great help and so were you.

one more question though... crutchfield lists my 95 max to have 6 3/4" speakers but i read here that some ppl have 6 1/2" speakers..

im confused. can someone shed some light. thnx

There was a fad of the OEMs making oversized 6.5's in the mid-late 90's. Never really caught on with the aftermarket though. Just get a set of 6.5's and you'll be set.
