Diam *width - offset = A
If A is zero then it will clear if A is not zero it will not clear.........
You cant just give wheel specs and tire specs(why do you need this to figure out if your caliper will clear?) and ask a question like will a caliper clear... A lot of it has to do with spoke design as well not just the offset. I say go with lower offset.. I have 17*8 and 20 and its flush with the fender. I believe my spoke design allows my Z32 calpers to clear with a lot of room. If I had 20 offset and ****ty spoke design, I would not be able to clear the calipers.
Oh and, with lower offset, you will have better luck clearing coilovers if you choose to do so later on.

I'd worry more about the wheels hitting the strut or coilover, i'm running 17x8 30mm offset and the fronts have almost no clearance. see for yourself:

Yeah I agree. I have some 16x8+35 rims running 225 tires, and they will not clear kts coils. You will most likely need to run spacers.
