i doubt it. windshields are replaced because it's a safety issue. you don't have to look out of the small side window. why do you think people ride around with plastic & duct tape side windows for so long?

I had some punk decide to break my side window to steal my radio. He only made off with the faceplate (useless). The deductible for the window repair was higher than the price to replace it. I ate the $218 deductible.

Depends - Some companies have full safety glass coverage. This means ANY glass that is laminated (such as window/windshield) is covered. Pretty easy to just call the insurance company and ask!

FYI - Liberty Mutual gives me full GLASS coverage (also includes headlight lenses and all other glass) with NO deductible, plus their rates were better than Geico, State Farm, Allstate, Farmer's, Progressive, and all the other big boys.

Just got a new genuine Nissan windshield in my Q... Love it!:D

Because they're uninsured (or stupid). Spent all their money on beer/cigs or some damn shiny rims instead of fixing their window.

Wonder how many of them know that the glass in most cars is also a structural member?

Stop me if I start sounding like Dennis...

They may or may not cover the side windows, it depends on your policy, but you also need to think about your deductible. The few pesos you might save on a minor repair like a side window after paying your deductible may not be worth the hassle of filing an insurance claim.

$132 - you got off cheaply. I'd pay it, then consider yourself lucky you didn't break a window on a Mercedes...
