May be a newb question but I finally got a good deal on some g35 19in forged rays staggered  . My question is will i be able to use my stock lugs or will i need a new set before i can put them on? Also since theyre staggered should I stick the bigger tire in the front or back, cuz ive seen some ppl on here stick their bigger ones up front...Tires are 275/35 and 235/35 respecitvely.. Lastly, I know other people have these rims so im assuming the will fit with no issues but can anyone confirm no rubbing? My car isnt dropped so I feel like it'd be ok but im also not sure what the offset is on them so I dunno.. Answers to any/all of the above are much apprec.

bigger ones up front would look stupid imo, though i suppose it would make sense if you're about function>form. also, i don't see why you wouldn't be able to use your stock lugs, though i would recommend picking up a set of locking lugs anyways.

ok, i guess ill see how it goes. would i have more room in the front or in the back? like I wouldn't rub by putting the bigger in the front,, would i rub at all with them? and okay good, I was definitely gonna get locks, but wanted to make sure i could use the stock ones to at least get home cuz im trading the guy my stock steelies +cash for them

You won't rub at all unless your car is lowered. And on a side note, I got lug nuts for sale they're 1.25 muteki

Even while lowered you can still have clearance. There are so many variables to consider.

If you're not lowering it then you're okay. In terms of width, you have more clearance in the back of your car.

also, do you guys think it would be smart to take my tires somewhere and have them swap the tpms out with some rubber valve stems before i trade them and then have the tpms installed in the new tires? would that work without any reprogramming from the dealer? Would it be cheaper or would i be better off buying new TPMS thru the dealer and stuff? (dont really know everything behind TPMS)...

You are thinking of fwd staggering where they put a slightly wider rim/tire combo up front. In this case, since the effective width is the same, it won't matter if you put the 275 or the 235 in the front or the rear as long as they are on the same axle. Your absolute best option is to replace all 4 tires with new matching sized tires that are closer in size to your stock diameter, I think 245/35 is the closest common 19" size.

I would switch the TPMS if i were you. I put the stock TPMS in the rotas I had and then had them switched to the Axis also. Worth the money to keep the light off and there is no reprogramming by dealer etc. Once they are in the new wheels your car will recognize them.

Yes, like trigger_storey said, switch your old TPMS to your new wheels, that is the cheapest and easiest solution. Unless you really don't care, that's like giving a free $120+ to whoever you are selling your old wheels to.

About the rubber vs metal valve stem, just tell the shop you want the TPMS switched over, they should know whether or not rubber or metal is suitable for mounting with the sensors.

Im not sure how much the TPMS install kit itself is. My bill says $4.99 per TPMS. They charged me $140 to dismount tires of rotas, take out TPMS, install TPMS with install kits and new tires on the Axis Elites, and balance them. Thats a pretty good price around here and I wont go anywhere else because this place is one of the only ones that has the special guard on the machine that puts the tires on the wheels. I never have to worry about scratches or nicks which is why Ill never go to PepBoys again. They ruined my wifes wheels on her Lancer and Im still fighting them and waiting to hear back about the claim I filed. So make sure they have the guard.
