Will an aftermarket dump pipe fit on my 95 sr20det blktop with auto transmission? I've heard it is a tight fit and most of the time an auto transmission housing is larger. It appears that I have around 1/4" clearance between the dump pipe and transmission housing now. Just eyeballing it. Is it really worth all the pain in the *** to install? I've heard you can see 20hp gains. Seems alittle far fetched to me. Which one would you recommend? Thanks for any info.

This is the biggest problem I have found with having an auto. There is so little info and experience with them. Ok, who has an aftermarket dump pipe on a manual transmission. How hard was it to install with the engine already in the car and How close does it come to the transmission housing? What kind of gains did you see. spool time, hp,tq or what?

My GReddy outlet seems like it has plenty of room before it gets to the trans(I have a manual). Clears the steering column as well.

It wasn't that hard to put in with the engine in there. The most PITA part was backing out the two studs from the turbine to put in the GReddy studs(shorter).

Was there any noticeable difference in performance after the install? Spool time, increase in boost or anything? Just wondering if it worth the cash and time. I can see myself breaking off a stud or having it strip or something. Just my luck. thanks for the reply.

I installed it when I did the swap. The stock T25 spools up REALLY quick tho'. It'll make 5-7 psi around 2k RPM in 5th gear without even going WOT.

I dyno'd 205rwhp 200rwtq with just that, 3in exhaust after the outlet and a filter and about 9 psi of boost. Stock everything else. So it seems like it was helping.

Hey Mark, is that you? If so, this is Ant.

I have an extra Greddy pipe I can sell you...give me a call (if you don't have my number, John can get it for you).

Yes,Whats up A? I havent heard from you in a long time. I heard you got your swap completed. I will have to give you a call and get some info on the greddy pipe. I just won an auction for an ARC SMIC from Japan. I plan on installing that and maybe up the boost alittle more.

Be careful w/ the s14 engine...remember that you have the same injectors as me! I think 12psi is the general consensus' safe boost limit before a fuel upgrade.
