1999 Nissan Sentra with 1999 Infiniti G20 motor. Drove fine yesterday. It rained last night. This morning it will crank but not start. I live on a hill so tried bump starting. Had compression but would not fire. Pulled spark plug and ground to block. Had someone crank engine and no spark. Pulled cap and rotor, all clean and dry. Only does this when it rains. Any suggestions? 2 dogs and a cat in car trying to get to vet so need help fast please!

Will try and get some expertise in here quick for you. Off the top of my head, I don't have any good suggestions.

Welcome to NICO! Sorry for the delay!

Ya thanks for the speedy assistance. This was a shot in the dark with dreams of someone familiar with the scenario that might just happen to be browsing the forums during my time of desperation and give me an answer. ;) Well sun came out today and it started just fine. This is so annoying! Any idea what it might be Apparently high humidity is causing something to short out and causing a no spark condition. I am at a loss. Praying for some sunny days the next few weeks. Very glad I don't live in Seattle or I could never drive this car lol!

The only thing I could think of was a bad dizzy cap, but you said its clean and dry.
...they are pretty cheap, so you might want to try replacing it anyway. Maybe it has some micro cracks or something it in. I had an old maxima that did the same thing. I pulled the cap and it looked dry so I figured it was good. Got it running and put my hand on the cap, and BAM, 35,000 volts came screaming through some micro-crack and shocked the s*** out of me hahaha.

My 200sx cap did the same thing. Spark was grounding on bottom crack of cap out of my view from top. Finally a coworker saw it at night when I couldn't get it started. Also, It would start then die intermittently while driving.
