My J30 starts and runs.. it just eventually stalls, and sometimes does not want to start back up. Kind of mimicking a fuel pump issue...

The fuel pump is changed, it appears to be running with a strong WHIRRRR and a lot of fuel.

The Fuel Pressure Regulator... if faulty, my question is, can that stall the car out and make it not want to restart, primarily when hot? It will run fine until it warms up.

Some more info: Exhaust restriction has been ruled out, and engine is in time, no knocks...

New MAF... ?

Ask away, I'm trying to get what has become a "mystery issue, why is it doing this" issue fixed. Thanks.

The MAF on this car can be very finicky...I would change that first

dont spend too much on it, just in case it's not the issue

Hmm.

Update! We changed the FPR, and it got *better.* Not completely solved but 10x better..

Continuing with fuel, and failING fuel pump hypothesis.. changed fuel pump (to a Delphi unit.) Car now runs FINE!

I wonder if the MAF is off only due to gas mileage but.. so far, so good. (Was replaced with a New Old Stock Bosck for about $90. Sprayed various times.)

You can spray them with the engine off, battery connected?

The car runs better, new FPR new fuel pump, just still appears to get "10MPG."

Latest question is about the best alternator.
