i changed my filter, i have over 100k miles and i noticed a difference right away. the pedal was very responsive after. the filter was toast, black and oily. the pump housing had metal fragments in there also. if u got about an hour i think it would def help - esp if you have 100k miles or so.

I am pulling around 24-30 mpg in my 97 I30t. I haven't tuned her up yet since I've had it but I'll keep track of the difference it makes when I tune it up.

its for a 2000 ! my max is a 2000. i bought this one online then found a local dealer who had one the next day so i went and got it and changed it same day. took me almost two hours. getting the housing apart was very tricky.i didnt want to deal with any return b.s. so i just kept it

yes, as your filter strains the fuel it picks up impurities. this clogs up the screen reducing fuel flow = poor performance. replace it and you will feel the diff. then clean the tb, open up the exhaust and walla. i did all that and i installed the new bosch +4 irriduim plugs. i gapped each lead a little higher so it has a step up effect. my car pulls hard from 0-131 (fastest so far)

Ohh, i went to autozone yesturday and they told me that i will not only have to replace the fuel filter but i will also have to replace the fuel pump. Is this correct. I didnt think it was but i might as well ask.

start with this, replace the filter when you are below a 1/4 tank of fuel. closer to E the better. dump in a bottle of stp fuel injector cleaner. drive to the gas station and fill up. spend the next 20-50 miles beating the everloving pee out of the car. hopefully that will clean out the deposits on the valves and stableize the injectors. then clean the throttlebody

i didnt replace mine so unless your pump is broken then you shouldnt have to - unless you want to get a new one since you are already in the tank doing the job. your results may vary !

well, replacing the screen sounds like a good idea but i dont think replacing the pump would. I think it is all the fuel filters fault. Email me the payment information.
