cuz i had my mind set on an SR20... but im not willing to spend $200 to have someone pass smog for me... So my two other options are CA18DET or just getting a turbo mounted to my KA24DE...

Will a KA24DE-T pass California smog

Will a CA18DE- T pass smog in california

I got it tested when it was stock, and registered it.Now it has a turbo, and most definitely it won't pass, bunch of my emissions stuff were removed during the process of going KA-T.

Either can pass easily. Just make sure you have all the emissions components hooked up. They will definately not pass a visual inspection but plenty pass smog. Most people just delete the emissions components because it's easier to do without, and/or they have a way to get around smog. Plus, there's a few tricks people use like high octane gas, seafoam, etc...

And OP, an SR is in the same boat as a CA or KA. It sounds like you think everyone is willing to take a $200 bribe, lol. There's no $200 magic ticket to pass smog although I would assume most people wouldn't turn it down.

Like a complete install thing? If you're going to be that lost you should have somebody that knows what they're doing help you/do it for you. It's not worth risking a perfectly good motor.

A lot of people don't bother running water lines, just the oil lines. I myself am not ka-t (yet) so I can't tell you what to do from experience. The way most people run their oil lines though is to tap a line somewhere for a feed and then for the return, you'll need to dril/fab a bung in your oil pan.

well, we could do this together haha... check this outhttp://www.nissanclub.com/foru....html

it says to tap the oil line at the oil pressure sender and to put the return into the oil pan

hook up the water lines. The life of your turbo will benefit.
