However - if you use a RWD manifold you will run into clearance issues, as they are in fact NOT the same. The turbo is placed differently on the fwd/rwd engines due to the turbo facing different directions on the two applications. On the rwd manifold, the turbo flange is centered between cylinders 3&4... where as the fwd/awd manifold it is between 2&3. It is easiest to find a bluebird/avenir/gtir turbo manifold and J pipe as they will be pretty much a direct bolt on affair. Where as with the rwd mani, even if you rotate the turbo, I am sure it will still hit the radiator, as well as possibly the trans bellhousing. Not to mention needing a custom outlet/downpipe as nothing off the shelf will fit(and this is assuming you resolve all the other clearance issues first). Anyways, thats my take on the subject
