will any sr20det manifold work for my sr20de+t build? i mean there isn't a special FWD mani is there? aslogn as i used a bottom mount set-up correct? and once thats bolted up. i can position the turbo how i want it right so i can have the intake be on the drivers side and the turbo dump/exhaust pipe being on the passenger side?

thanks

Use a mani from any of the engines listed in the SR sticky in Sentra Gen. There are a few other manifolds out there (log and equal length), but I'm not sure where you'd get them.

The Nissan manis all use 4 bolt rectangular flanges, so you can turn the turbo one way or the other. If you clock it you can control the compressed-air exit point as well. The exhaust gas exit on all of them is straight down, which is pretty much the only sensible way anyway.

However - if you use a RWD manifold you will run into clearance issues, as they are in fact NOT the same. The turbo is placed differently on the fwd/rwd engines due to the turbo facing different directions on the two applications. On the rwd manifold, the turbo flange is centered between cylinders 3&4... where as the fwd/awd manifold it is between 2&3. It is easiest to find a bluebird/avenir/gtir turbo manifold and J pipe as they will be pretty much a direct bolt on affair. Where as with the rwd mani, even if you rotate the turbo, I am sure it will still hit the radiator, as well as possibly the trans bellhousing. Not to mention needing a custom outlet/downpipe as nothing off the shelf will fit(and this is assuming you resolve all the other clearance issues first). Anyways, thats my take on the subject

thanks for your take...sounds exactly like what i was thinkin...tons of clearance issues with this set-up...it already only has MAYBEE a 2 inch clearance now between the obx header and the heat guard for the left radiator fan..deff gonna be a tight fit
