Hello.I'm new to this forum, but I did search (I swear, I'm not new to forums overall) so I thought I'd ask. The question is probably stupid, but I figure you have to start somewhere. If there is a better place to put this questions, just let me know.
I recently picked up a 1989 240SX ITA prepared race car. After a few years of HPDEs and lapping days, I'm going to give this road-racing thing a shot. But, this is my first Nissan. (Wanted a 240 for years however.)Car still has the stock KA24E, stock brakes and intake.Other than being gutted and caged, the only other mods are exhaust, suspension (Koni coilovers w/ custom springs) a welded diff, ARP wheel studs and spacers and some light headwork on the engine.
I'm trying to start building a collection of spare parts from wherever I can. Got 2 pickup truck loads of parts with the car, but you can't have too many.
A friend of mine has a 93 Altima w/ KA24DE that he is junking. Rear subframe rusted out and basically tore out of the car.
Are there any parts worth my time to steal off his car?I know they are different platforms, and it's got a KA24DE vs. my KA24E, but I'm not sure how much commanality Nissan has between platforms.Like I said, I'm new to Nissan's and not sure how much recycling of parts they do.
Any advice is more than welcome.
