will an s14 trans work in an s13?

if its a manual and they are both de's the s14 transmission should work in the s13 but not vise versa.

Could you please explain why the s13 trans won't swap into the s14or will it ? with some modification or without some sensors working. I am pretty sure that the crank sensor issue I could get to work.The big question for me is the speed sensor, will I be able to just use the s14 sensor in the s13 trans?Thanks for the help

not sure about speedo sensor but the crank sensor is not really the end of the world. it just detects misfires. so i guess the s14 trans would prob be ok in s13.
