will an auto s13 speed sensor fit an s13 5spd

I don't have a speed sensor for my 5spd so can I use the auto one, the way the bolt hole is is a little different but it slides in. will it work ?

It should fit, but won't read the correct speed.

No. The auto Speed sensor will not directly bolt in. The auto one IIRC was bigger than the Manual Speed sensor. Also I thnk if you are using a SOHC trans in a DOHC car you should swap speed sensors.

Just look tbhrought the part outs and drivetrain classified. you should be able to get one within the week pretty cheap.
