Will an Altima KA24DE swap into an NX2000 ?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

A guy came into my work and asked me if a Ka from an altima would swap into his nx2000 (sr is blown and he has a ka from a friends totaled car). I know they bolt right in on the S-chassis cars, but are they interchangable with the FWD setups? I told him that I would find out for him, and I didn't find anything when I searched.

Custom everything, it'd be tough, expensive, and would probably take years to get running right.

Allright. I'll just let the guy know that it can't be done; it will make everything a lot simpler. Thanks for the reply guys.

He'd be better off selling that KA for what little he probably could and picking up an SR20DET or SR20VE.

Has anyone tried to get a sr20det into an nx2000? This thread was the closest i turned up in a search.

Yes a SR20DET will fit into a NX2000. It will also fit into a sentra like the one in my signature.

The reason I said don't even try it is because there is WAY tooooo much fabrication that needs to be done for that to work. Plus you can get jdm sr20's for $400 dollars w/warranties.

Swapped NX2ks and B13/14 SE-Rs are pretty common, actually. Fricken awesome ride, a turboed B13 is a great sleeper too... I want one...

For future reference for you, the NX2000 and 91-94 Sentra are the same chassis (both B13's). Therefore, engine bays are identical, and so are motor mount points. So if you find any info on turboing a 91-94 Sentra, it should be dead on exact for the NX2000 too.

I have a DET in my NX. Install was exactly the same as doing the classic. Only difference is - if you decide to change the exhaust, the NX is slightly different from the cat back. Just barely. You can easily get a SE-R aftermarket exh to fit, just with a little fab.
