Will an alternator from a 1991 z32 fit on my 1990?

I just bought a 1990 300zx and it needs an alternator. I found someone parting out a 91 with a good alternator. and im just curious if i can save a little money there for now, and buy theres just to get it running to find what else is wrong with it. i'd appreciate any help! thanks

Yes. 90-96 used the same alternators. NA alternators were rated at 80 amps and TT alternators were rated at 90 amps. You can run either.

I could be wrong here, so someone please jump in an correct me if I'm off track:

It's to my understand that there are no differences between 90-93 z32s, though a lot of changes seemed to have come in 94+.

Depends on what parts you're talking about, but yeah Nissan made some changes after '93.

Parts like the alternator are the same, parts like injectors and connectors, etc. did change.

yeah fear, the guy i picked the alternator up from told me the exact same thing. so im pretty sure Jr. correct lol.
