Will a VQ30DE from a 95 work in a 99 model?

Knowing the EGR and IACV are different + NATS, will the heads and block from a 95 model automatic work in a 99 model?

Our 99 model 5-speed's engine bit the dust last weekend. No compression on cyl 1 and only 10 lbs on cyl 3. Major failure that will be expensive to repair.

I've got a chance to buy a motor out of a wrecked 95 automatic with 73,000 miles for a good price. If the heads and block will work, everything else on the 99 is new or in great shape.


Has anyone seen a 95 model VQ30DE installed in a 99 model?
