will a verticle door set up for a 240z fit an 82 280zx?

i found a set on thezstore.comi realy wanna do something different with my car to make it unique. the price for it is 1g and i found a full body kit set up for 780$ and a spoiler for 250$ i have about a 3000$ budget and i wanna put every penny into the car.

nope, looks like they don't make a kit for the s130, I'd suspect you'd have better luck modifting a kit for a Z31 as they are more similar mechanically and actually had wiring in the door

that being said I think lambo doors are ricetastic and the money would be better spent makgin the car faster or handle better, these doors kits are quite heavy and will only slow your car down

yeah true true. would a cool air intake and performance headers with straight pipes make a noticable difference?

the stock intake is cold air, it's in front of the radiator, the stock injection system is the real hold back, and it a header, as in singular (it's only one unless you get the dual setup from MSA, most others are singular), cone air filter, header and mandrel bent exhaust with low restricion muffler might make a 10+15 hp difference, on such a low hp car it would be noticable especially in the et, I'd recomend agianst straight pipe on an n/a

I don't think there is any chip for the stock ecu, you can convert to VG30E elecronic's and injectors, there are quite a few using the vg30et electronics ont he L28ET, althouh with an N/A L6 it's more popular to comvert to carbs and run tripple webbers

how hard would it be to throw a RB engine in? I was looking at them on ebay and there not too expensive. I think the most I saw was like 2000 including shipping charges. comes with the trans/shifter, engine harness,turbo,a/c and many more parts. 35000 miles on it. that's the basic set up for all of them I saw. how much fab work would have to be done to put one in? I have a 3000$ budget right now

you're looking at the RB20DET, not worth it IMHO, you loose almost a third of your displacment, you could swap an L28ET for less and make as much power, that being said the S130 crossmsmber might be an issue, when installing any RB into an S30 the RB20 oil pan si required, but the S130 crossmsmber sits forther forward and is wider so I have no idea if it would even fit, also the steering linkage could be an issue, if you want power on a budgert find a wrecked 82-83 280ZXTurbo, and just swap engine harness and ecu over, direct bolt in and plenty of power potential

sounds reasonable. but with a n/a engine, there isnt much i can do to it. how much would you say a turbo engine would run for?i wanna get the hp up as much as 3g will take me

Why don't you just put a small block chevy in it and be done with all the questions that stray from the thread. Lambo doorz... pleez. After that I suppose you want a 4 foot wing off the back and tires that stick out 5" past the body.
