I did some searching for this and keep getting different answers when i ask around so I figured i'd make a post as im running short on time. So my question is will a z32 twin turbo ecu work to run a n/a engine. Ive been rebuilding my vg30dett and its been a lengthier process then intended. I found a vg30de for a good price that i picked up to hold me over and get me back in my z for the meantime. (trucks are expensive to daily) the only problem is the engine didnt include a ecu. I found one for it i think but its a while away. So im wondering if i should bother going to get the na ecu or if its true that a tt one will work. I was told as long as i use the same injectors and pump im good but i wamt to make sure before i head back home which is even further from where i can get it. Thank you

The TT ECU is mapped for 370CC injectors, this means that is will starve your engine of fuel when running the factory NA 270CC units. yes a TT ECU could work in a NA but you would have to swap in 370CC injectors (or whatever injectors the ECU is mapped for) into your NA to make it work correctly.

And I also would worry about other aspects of the air/fuel mapping and controls where there are differences in hardware between the platforms. My assessment would be that it is far easier to just get a used NA ECU (I have one laying around) and have nothing to worry about rather than messing around with a TT unit.

This is absolutely true. NA ECUs (especially the 16bits that no one wants) are easy to come by.

Ok thanks you guys, I had a hard time believing it would be as simple as I was told before. Saved me from a good amount of headache. Does anyone want to get rid of theirs? I'm in canada.

If Dcaff wants to hold on to his I may have a 16-bit 95 NA ECU available. I'll have to dig through the storage unit.
