If it is just a school or open (non-competitive) drift event, you should be able to go with a sunroof.

If it is a competitive drift event, you're most likely going to need a purpose-built car.

what about a bolt in replacement?is it a concern of the glass shattering? or structural integrity? for hatches it would be easy to make a non-glass bolt in replacement.and for coupes, IMO i think its just as strong if not stronger with all the sunroof braces and everything.

all the drift school that I've been to had no such "sunroof" regulation...

as far as competition wise... I think Jeff Jones' s13 in formula drift has a sun roof...

hell, Chris Forsberg doesn't even have a roof on his Z33 vert

Don't worry about it man. I've been told I can't have it "popped" or like half open for events, but never told that I can't run because I have one. I mainly do autoX events for now though. As long as your car came with it from the factory you'll be fine. Not sure about drifting events but a roll cage should shut them up!
