will a sr20det work on a rb even if it is not accurate

I cannot find a dohc ka tach so will a sr20det tach work Searched but could not find difinitive answeralso tried ca18tach but it also did not work

DOHC tach is WAY easier to find.

i was wondering because I want a kouki s13 clusterthe one that is silver with the red needles I have an rb swap I can calibrate it but i need to know it it will work at all instead of laying dead like the sohc and ca18 tach

a stock tach will still "work" just read incorrectly. i think you need to check your wiring.

yea the tachs should work, just needs to be calibrated. something isnt wired correctly

the signal will always be read by the tach as 1.5 higher than what it should be, but you can adjust it to be fairly accurate.

the answer is yes, the sr tach is the same as the twin cam tach just calibrated to read till 8k, just use a tach adaptor as anyone else would and you'll be fine.
