Any thing is poss. with enough money and time. But, I agree with Numbnut's comment. Why would you want to do that?

Well second thing is why would you wanna use a weaker transmission then what's suppose to be on the RB25Det, I mean that's what you have right??

Now if it was the other way around putting an RB25 transmission in an SR, not only has that been done but RB25's transmission's hold better than SR transmission's.....

Well, I got my 240sx shell and it came with a SR20 transmission. And then I ordered a RB25DET motor, but it did not come with a transmission. Should i just sell the SR20 transmission and then buy a RB25SET transmission? and is it hard to do the wiring and put the engine in by myself? i asked about 3 auto shops today, and they said they can't do the swap.

Oh man, I can tell you that you can't do the swap sorry. If you can't even research a motor/swap then you deff can't do it.

Stop posting here. Go to the RB section and spend alot of time there. Dont ask questions yet. Answer your questions in the RB section. If you dont know what I mean, then just go to the RB section and just read. Then when you think you might have a clue...Read some more. RB swaps arent hard, but they arent for the faint at heart...

Always buy a compomplete motor swap kit. Trying to piece one together is not cheaper and usually A BIG MESS...and takes twice as long....

Yes you can put the sr transmission on the rb25, you just need to find a rb20 bellhousing. rb20, sr, ca, and ka trannys are the same except the bellhousing.
