will a knock sensor code put my transmission in safe mode?

my transmission is in safe mode(stuck in third), and i took it to aamco to get the transmission computer scanned and it had to connectivity, and when the engine cpu was ran it came back with a knock sensor code, will this put my transmission in safe mode?

ummm............ id beleve that it would. safe mode is designed to protect the engine from itself. what worse thing could happen to the engine then knock. i mean that is one of the causes of bending a rod or sending it through the block either case get that shnit fixed b4 u need a new engine.

Read his question again. He asked if it would put the transmission, not the engine, in safe mode.

I still don't think that it would. With a knock sensor code, the engine is going to pull timing to keep from detonating but I don't think it will do anything to the transmission.
