The turbo manifold will likely be different, as there are head differences between the E an DE. There might also be a difference in the plumbing. I'm not a turbo expert by any stretch of the imagination, so I don't know for certain. Hell, man, look harder!!

There, you got help with someone telling you to look harder.

Everything should mount the same except for the manifold which has different ports... Need a different mani. Everything else should fit or require slight modification, depends on how well the kit was made....

The stipulation to this is that the manifold would have to locate and oreient the turbo so that it is the same as with the DOHC motor. Otherwise the downpipe and pipes leading to and from the turbo won't work. It's doubtful you'll find a mani that is specifically designed to do this (SOHC manis are not as plentiful either) so it's probably going to require to use different or modified piping if you tried to get a DOHC kit to work.

The manifold btw, is quite different between the 2 motors. The DOHC usues equidistant exhaust ports where as the SOHC motor, pair the 1-2 and 3-4 ports closer together.

I wonder if the JGS manifolds place the turbo in the indentical place. That would allow him to fab one type of downpipe and hot pipe.

I cant think of another mfg'er that makes both SOHC and DOHC kits.

Not sure on that one, but we would have to then assume he has a DOHC kit that uses a log mani to begin with. If it does, it probably wouldn't be terribly difficult to fab a log mani that would work. If this were to be done, one should consider the SOHC head's exhaust mani moounting surface may not be on teh same plane as a DOHC. Actully, this would need to be considered in fabbing any mani thta would plaace a turbo in the same position. So basically, one would have to accurately place the turbo first then design and build the mani around it. All said and done, I'd probably just find a SOHC kit or build a mani and simply modify or fabricate the piping to work with that mani.
