will a ka24e rod fit in a ka24de???

i got a 92 240sx coupe for 400 very very nice car. the rod is crap and my friend has a 89 240 motor which is a ka24e (single cam) and i was wondering if a single cam rod would fit in a twin cam rod??? i want to get it running before summer!!!

if you mean that they are interchangable then yes but they are supposedly not the same rod. I heard that the DE rods are slightly stronger but thats just what i heard.

oh, just use the rod and piston from the sohc.....see how that runs.

Yes it will fit and can get more compression...more torque.
