Can someone on the forum say for certain whether a clutch/pressure plate/throwout from a J13 will work on an E1 engine? If not, does anyone have a possible source for the E1 goodies?? Thanks in advance.

Well, not exactly. A J13 input shaft has 24 splines and the E-1 has 10. Throw out bearing and fork from the newer J13 trany and older E-1 Tranny are different, so that doesn't work or match. I have a J13 with trans so that's how I know this and just looked again before hitting 'submit.' Pressure plate may work, but good luck finding one.

So what to do?????????

Well, I went to Victoria British and bought made in Made in England. I think MoWoG (Morris Wolsey Group) or Lockheed.

I have the pressure plate (clutch cover) and release bearing on my one '65, but for some reason I did not use the clutch disc. Pretty sure I purchased part number 4-006.

Let me know if this is the way you want to go as I usually see Bob at the City Service window every two to three weeks for my Datsuns and my older brother's squadron + of British sports cars. I'll make sure and compare parts the next time I go. I have an extra everything you just mentioned plus an E-1 transmission so I can size things up, take measurements, and pics.
