Hey guys, I have headers and a 2.5 inch exhaust and my car is really loud. Will a High flow cat quiet it down big time, or would a regular one be quieter?

a high flow cat does just that lets the exhaust and noise out faster. yes it will gain performance but also sound will increase. Put a 18 or so inch resonator,it should help. You have a muffler you can put a silencer in? helps.

I should have been more clear. I have headers, 2.5 inch exhaust with a 22" resonator and a magnaflow dual tip muffler. No catalytic convert. I would like to know if adding a high flow one will significantly quiet down my car, or should I just get a regular catalytic converter?

a high flow will be louder than a stock cat. Always add another resonator, someone posted awhile bck that it helped out some. I perzonally would not se the point of a performance exhaust and then restrict it. Just me tho

It's just so obnoxiously loud I can't take it anymore. I like a little rumble, but not pure noise. Thats why.
