So my car is now nearly 4 yrs old and has the myriad of rock chips on the front bumper to prove it. I was considering having it refinished and repainted when I discovered that a new sport bumper is relatively inexpensive. My thought was to purchase the sport bumper and pay a local shop to paint it, then install it myself to save some labor cost.

Need to know if (1) the sport sedan bumper will fit my non-sport model (Journey) sedan, and (2) if I will need to purchase any separate hardware to mount it. Thanks!

nope... smh... i was going to do this a couple years ago when my bumper got damaged by a tire treaad. All the brackets are different and the fog light housings are different. the fog lights are ~$200 each... that was the game changer for me, as i was going to have to fork over the ~$400 total on top of my $450 co-pay to get the sport bumper. But it's possible to do the switch just going to cost you more for the "behind the scenes" parts.

I actually wasn't even considering using the '10-'14 sport bumper, or any bumper with the lower mounted fog lights. My plan was to use the bumper featured on the '07-'09 G37S before they moved the fogs from the composite headlights to the bumper. Since mine is an '09, I was hoping the pre-'10 bumper would be a more direct fit. Anyone know for sure?

This is a picture of the bumper I was referring to..

It is a direct fit so long as you dont get the fog light one.
