No it will not, Don't listen to him. The reason why is because the SOHC cam has the intake and exhaust lobes on one cam wile the DOHC splits the lobes into one exhaust cam and one intake cam.

Wow. back up the hostility train.I think 9240sx assumed the question was asking if the DOHC engine will fit in a 89-90 s13, which it will. But if the question is asking if a camshaft from a DOHC will fit in a SOHC engine, then the answer is no.Hope this helps.

Have you done this?It seems to be quite a more then "just swap a dohc cylinder head to your sohc ka block"there were several people trying to make this work for a while, and I never saw one person compleate it....

Red coupe.. i'm sure it'll work even though people never compleate it.. i'm sure the reason why no one ever compleate was probably becasue they all firgued it was a waste of time. HEH

Well there is the issue of fitting the timing chain cover, but that seemed easily overcome with some welding.

I dunno what the other issues where but there were at least 3 people I saw working hard on getting it done...there were a few threads more then 5 pages long on people troubleshooting it to get it working...It doesn't seem like it would be hard but apparently it doesn't just fall together...

And yeah, cause 11:1 compression is a waste of time

I believe there was a completed example of the DOHC head on a SOHC block. Probably about a year or two ago, though, so good luck searching. But I think its easier to swap SOHC pistons into DOHC engine than to swap heads. I wouldn't know for sure though, I've never tried either.
