hey guys,

Will a distributor from a 91-94 KA24DE Engine work with the S14 engines? I need to replace my distributor, and I have only been able to find cheap distributors from a S13.

Any help you guys can give would be great! :ylsuper

i am not a mechanic so i cant say for fact, but they are the same engine. i was going to buy a transmission from an older s13 for my s14, would have worked fine.

No, they're different. The S14 distributor has an internal coil, wheras the S13 has an external coil. Another reason is the crank position sensor is housed in the S13 distributor, but isn't in the S14 dist.

It will fit, but you will need to add an external coil and do some wiring to make it work. I know of one person who has done this so he can add a larger coil and MSD with ease. But if you aren't force fed or NOS'd it will be a lot of work for probably no gain.

well, that is good info to know....Do you know what kind of wiring we are talking about? I'm not looking for major gains (at least right now), I just want my idle to work correctly and the check engine light to go off
