will a CA18ET g/box bolt up to a CA18DET?

wil it bolt up?and how much less stronger is it?what other boxes will bolt up wothout having to change the crossmember?and is a realivly cheapish box too......not much $ at the moment....lol

Yea, but if its for a S13, it will be too short. Gearing might be diffrent also, according to my friend who had the ET transmission and then we installed the correct DET in his S13.

KA(E/DE) / SR(DE/DET) / CA(E/DE/ET/DET) RWD boxes all mate up, in the case of KA / SR swapping the CADE(T) bell housing on... CAE(T) is too short as Nismo mentioned for a S13, but I'm not sure how that would work for your Datsun... it might be good or very bad..

I think some have at least slightly different gearing at least on final drive.. ?

you could always get some kind of adapter plate made up, I remember someone on one of the forums getting an adapter made to fit a T56 to his KA or SR, forgot what it was..
