will a 96 240sx wire harness work for my 90 240sx harness? working on rb
will a 96 240sx wire harness work for my 90 240sx harness? i'm trying to see if it does work, so I can work on my rb.

No, you need an rb harness, you might as well start from scratch rather than use a 240 harness.
