They are both KA24DE motors. It will "fit".

It will fit but you'll need to use the following 91 parts:- intake manifold assembly- throttle valve assembly- exhaust manifold

+distributor and a few others

Why do people continue to ask the same questions, over and over? Seriously. This forum would have 12 posts if people actually searched...

There are some subtle differences in all the ka years. Just make sure the motor your getting is complete (valve cover, front covers, etc). You "should" swap the intake manifolds (use the 91). Give everything a once over and change some of the gaskets too. They are all easier to do if the engine is out of the car.

This topic has been covered to death so I added a new poll choice...lol Have a super day.

Does anyone have any links or references that show what parts need to be taken from an older KA? I've got a KA24E right now and I'm looking at swapping a DE in. The problem with that is that all of the OBD1 engines have insane mileage on them. Being able to swap in a later engine would be quite a help.

I did a lot of searching on this and came up with nothing. That's not to say that the threads aren't there, but finding the correct search terms is very difficult.

With a post count of 7, you have no reason to talk like that.

Anyway, I'm seeing that the following need to be used from an OBD1 engine:

- intake manifold assembly- throttle valve assembly- exhaust manifold- distributor

Anything else? Sensors or anything?
