I may have found a Steering rack to replace mine with, but it's from a 94 active and I have a 92 active. I can't see any difference from the FSM's from both years, so maybe someone else knows. I know there are supposed to be a difference in steering, but I don't know what it is. I still have the original rack and it's gone 275K with just a minimal leak, so it's time for one with less miles on it. I'm going to replace the rack and install me Stillen adjustable tension rods at the same time, so I would like to get started ASAP.

Yep should be perfect... the active model on the 94 had the more desireable 90-93 steering gearing anyway.

Ahhh. O.K. so the difference in the 94 active rack was that it had the steering gears of the 90-93. I knew it was something but couldn't remember what it was about the 94 rack and it was driving me nuts. Thanks....

Wes -Really? My 94a's steering does not feel like my 92s did. Seems slow in comparison. Is a t's rack any better?

Also does a 92 (or before) steering wheel work for a 94? I ask because the 92 had a much nicer/thicker wheel than my 94 does.
