Ladies & gents,

Will a 2005 Q45 instrument cluster fit into a 2002 Q45?

I can't seem to find any information on Q45 gauge cluster compatibility among the 2005 and 2002 Q45?

Does anyone know if this will work? From what I've seen online, the screw holes seem to be the same with the 2005 and 2002, or is it?

I appreciate your help!Longlivetitus

So few of both sold that only a dealer tech would know and dealer techs never substitute part years as they are given directly from parts department.Even T3 would not waste time TESTING for compatability.T3 prowness occured AFTER we started buying and stripping Q45 junkers 7-8-10 years after 1990. We don't even have a 97-01 Q41 much less a 2002.

Some time around 2012 we might have the answer!

You will need to compare the parts numbers, examine BOTH the FSM in detail then after spending a few weeks examining try the swap and report what you burn out.

Many changes were made from 2002 > 2005.

I'll say no because the electronic and security systems were changed significantly in the 2003 year. The 2002 F50 is an orphan model in many ways.

It's odd how Nissan does that. Introduce a new model, then make major revisions after the first year. The "all new" for 2001 Frontier got a completely new dash in 2002. The new 2003 G35 got a mid-year revision that changed the trunk lid from the "doggie door" handle and I think there were about 10 of them sold with non-HID headlights. Makes you wonder what goes on when a car is designed?

The oldtimers always say to never buy a new car in its first year production, wait til the second or even third year for the manufacturer to figure out the bugs and perform the corrections/upgrades.

That mostly applies to the cars built after 1996. The 1990 Q45 was built right the first time but the customers started to b****...

Say what???? Self destructing trannys and chain guides is hardly "built right", not to mention the later model year cars getting a truckload of additional luxury features missing on the early Q. My guess is if the 1994 version of the Q45 were introduced in 1990, the Q would have been a much more successful model and gave the LS 400 a run for the sales chart, instead of floundering and eventually disappearing while the LS series still is a major player in the luxury market.Infiniti made a HUGE mistake right out of the gates with the Q.

I'm back to post an update regarding the '05 Q45 instrument cluster working in my '02 Q45, and here is the results:

Everything fits perfectly however, my 'SLIP', 'ABS' & 'TDC' lights on dash is on?I'm guessing it is because of the electrical updates.

What do you guys think I should do; is there a way to reset the gauge cluster?

By the way, my '02 is a sport without intelligent cruise, and the '05 cluster that I replaced it with is the exact same mode (sport without intelligent cruise).
