Good Evening Everyone ,

I'm searching for a pair of oem Hardbody bucket seats to replace the bench seat in my '89 standard cab D21. I have found a pair of seats locally from a '95 extended cab 4x4. Does anyone know if these will bolt in with no modifications? Thanks in advance for any information you might pass along.

PS: My D21 just passed the 300k mark!

I've heard yes, all the way to 97 and Pathfinder included.

Yes they will bolt in. All truck seats from 87-95(Pathfinder) and 87-97(Hardbody) will bolt in with no mods.

Thanks,

I appreciate you both taking the time to share your knowledge. I just registered on the forum this evening and It's really neat to see what folks have been able to do with their Nissan trucks. I'll be spending many a winters evening reading and learning here.

yes put a set of leather ones in my PU from path finder LOVE them, much more comfortable on long drives. Direct bolt in 4 bolts each side, you have the nuts set in floor pan may be covered with carpet with bench seat but they are there just use ICE PICK to find them and slit carpet to access them

Thanks!

I'm happy to be here. I bought my D21 new in '89 and have thoroughly enjoyed owning it. The quality of Nissan trucks is astounding. My D21 has reached 300k miles and I'm still on the original water pump and the original clutch. The gearbox shifts as smoothly as it did when new. Maybe even a little better, I'm running Mobil 1 75w-90 synthetic in it now.

I don't know how many times I've been urged by others to trade in my old truck and get something new but my little Nissan just suits me so well. It's the perfect combination, it's fun to drive, it feels sporty, it can haul anything that i need to carry and yet it still delivers 25 to 28 mpg day in and day out.

Now that my two-wheel drive companion has accumulated a significant amount of miles I want to start refurbishing/restoring it system by system as the daily driver it has always excelled at being. From what I've seen on this forum I know that between the knowledge base accumulated here and my factory shop manual I'm going to accomplish my goal. I look forward to getting to know the folks here and I appreciate your willingness to share what you have learned.

I love the D21 and own two of them right now. There is something to be said about Nissan trucks, they are the Little Engines That Could.

Well put. Mine reminds me of the wwii transport pilot I saw on the history channel. This pilot flew the C-47 which I believe was the military version of the legendary Douglas DC-3. He said that when he walked out to that airplane he'd pat it on the fuselage and tell it "you're a good servant". I just don't get that same kind of vibe from new vehicles. The D21 was built to help the owner, the money it earned for Nissan was a by-product of how many owners it helped. In that way it was not unlike Henry Ford's Model T. Maybe that idea will come around again in time.

I have owned 5 nissans 2 of the hard bodies both 1991 black models first one i got new standard cab basic was great truck now have 1991 black king cab love the extra room. I want a hard body king cab V6 that is what I am looking for but hard to find a clean used one. I want the V6 se king cab bad, a old man close to me has a great black one, I have been debating just knocking on his door to see if he wants to sell it. Give him my name for the day he does it is in perfect shape and from how much it sits must be low mileage. The extra power and torque makes it the PERFECT small truck in my mind.
