Hey guys done anyone know if the 3.5 mirrors, with the turn signals, will fit a 2.5 sedan? If so what would it take to wire the mirrors so the signals work? Finally, does anyone know the best place to by nissan parts on line?

Thanks to anyone who can help and sorry if this has already been posted but i could not find it.

They will fit.I don't know if the wires are already there or not though, and just as a personal choice. When I have to buy replacement OEM parts I use http://www.nissandiscountparts.com

Sorry if we're not allowed to link out to that website, I'm not sure

Exactly. The fitment shoudln't be an issue as the mirrors are the same. Some 2.5s are actually pre-wired to have the mirrors be fully functional (heated and turn signals). A quick way to see if you're pre-wired is to remove that little triangle piece on the inside of your door where there mirror is.

There should be a wiring harness behind this triangle provided you have power mirrors. If that harness has 3 wires going to it, then you aren't pre-wired for the 3.5 mirrors. If you have 7 wires, you're most likely* pre-wired.

There are a few cases where people with 7 wires couldn't get the mirrors to work so thats why I say most likely...good luck and keep us posted!

The coupe and sedan mirrors are not the same at all. The mounting holes don't line up, and the black triangle piece that mounts to the door is a completely different shape. The sedans' have a 3-sided triangle piece with a sharp point on top because the windshield has a steeper slope to it, the coupe mirrors have a 4-sided piece. Go on ebay and look if you need a visual reference, but trust me they are different.

But 3.5 sedan mirrors will bolt up fine on a 2.5 sedan; same goes for the coupe mirrors, they just aren't interchangeable between the body styles.

I thought Rkitkt was just asking about changing a 3.5 coupe to a 2.5 coupe or 3.5 sedan to 2.5 sedan. I didn't realize he had a coupe and was asking about a sedan.

I purchased mine from nissanpartsonline.net They aren't difficult to install, just remove the the black plastic piece on the inside of the door, disconnect the harness, remove the three nuts and then swap the mirrors and do the reverse. Of course thats if you are pre-wired. If not you have to run the wires for the turn signals and the defroster. So depending on your wiring knowledge difficulty can vary.

To check for being pre-wired just remove the black piece and look at the harness going to the mirror. If it has 3 wires in it you are not prewired, if it has 7 wires you are.

Mirrors are $150 each, the painted "caps" are $14 each, and I paid $50 each to have them painted Deep Slate.

Correct, the part that is painted on your mirrors now comes as unpainted black plastic. I was lucky and found the body shop my dealer uses, and they painted the two covers for me for only $50 each. Since they do all the body work for Nissan & Infinity they keep current paint colors mixed and ready so they are able to do it cheaper than a shop that would have to mix the paint just for you.
