Will 2010 hood, fenders, grill, headlights fit a 2008? :)

I'm craving the new look of the 2010 over my 2008.
I was wondering if it would be possible, though I suppose the OEM parts won't be easy to come by.

Hood wouldn't fit from the opening that the grille sets in. :(

I feel like I'd need all the parts of the front in order to really make a change. :P

I'm no expert but it should fit and if not then you might have to also replace the radiator core support. people do it all the time with STi. they get the older ones cheap, put the newer ones lghts, grill, front bumper and radiator core support. same goes for dodge neons. they do it all the time.

but the 2010 headlights would probably cost a decent amount of money. if you trade it in you'll lose a bunch of money, if you do the conversion you'll lose a bunch of money. best thing is to look into the price of the parts. pull up all the 08s parts and look at the part numbers and compare them with the 2010. what ever part numbers dont match are what you'll need to replace. so do some research and after calculating everything, then make your decision to trade in or do the conversion. good luck with which ever route you choose :bigthumb:

Why is the 2010 headlight so desired - is the projection the reason?

yes...yes it is and has been for a very loooong time. Nissan cheaped out on us
even the honda accord coupe had it

swapping the front end is definitely doable. wait for a wreaked one to appear in a local scrapyard and save big time on the swap.

The 2008 headlight looks way better.

What you don't see in the pictures above is the Sentra bulge.

meh I beg to differ. While i'm not a huge fan of the bulge, i find that the new shape, dark housing, and projector lens more than make up for it. You notice the top thing ppl did to the 08 headlight was black out/color match the housing? Those that didn't get projectors fitted more than likely didn't bc they couldn't do it themselves or couldn't afford to get someone else to do it.

Nissan pays attention. The better wheels were a quick fix for 09. They worked in a great many subtle improvements for 2010. Now when the 2013 refresh comes forward (the sedan will be due for 2012 with the coupe more than likely following the same path as a 2013 model as with the 07 sedan/08 coupe refresh), I'll bet we'll see a better suspension stance amongst other big changes.

I dont see the purpose in projectors since our headlights have a cut-off and with HIDs theyre more then bright enough and will not blind on coming traffic because it has the cut-off. I could have done a projector retrofit but didnt feel that the outcome was great enough to justify doing it in my opinion. the 2010 lights have a huge blinker thing bulging out of the top which looks horrible! but I like the 2010 front fascia and hood so it comes out pretty nice looking

Is the projection relatively close to that of the G37?

I had projectors made by ontario guy, but weren't better than stock and took them out

nissan messed up big time with their color profiles when they release their images of the new 2010 altima coupe. biggest fail ever.

On headlights, I like the shape the new headlights: the bulge, boxy look with the quick curve, the less yellow light, and of course the projectors. For the body work, the 2010 hood has a better shaped, rather then converging on the 2008, and the grill on the 2010 felt more consistent to the design.

The front looks more together to the curvy back of the vehicle.

A 2010 coupe parked by me when I went to the DMV to update my registration renewal. It just had such a presence when I was approaching at its front.

I will have to look at the part numbers and do an estimate. It is definitely on a to do list by the Fall.

Thanks for the responses!

I totally agree when you're comparing stock to stock of the two different front ends. However only a little modification is needed to the 08/09 and it looks like a completely different front end, at least IMO.
