I'm pretty sure it will, I searched and searched for about 30 minutes and found various subjects contaning information on engine swaps for 200sxs and 240sxs but nothing that details exsactly what i'm asking. I want to use a 200sx transmission in my Datsun 510 with a KA24DE block (this way I don't have to use the 240sx trans and fabricate a drifeshaft)

thanks for looking, sorry if this information is somewhere, I couldn't find it searching

I'm pretty shure it will I don't know what kind of starter you will need to use. But as long as the werner syncros transmission carries the numbers FS5W71C or FS5W71B then you should be able to use it with the same bolt pattern in the bell housing. Just make shure that the lengtrh of the transmission is the right length. Are you taking the transmission from the 81200sx, or the 82-83? The 82-83 transmission would probably better suit you with your gearing ratio's.

didn't know there was a difference between the years... the rear end will be a Subarun LSD 4.11 not looking for a lot of speed, the Ka24de will be carbed with Keihin FCRs and have cams and a header, so either transmission will work for me as long as the both bolt up

Well you probably wont want the 81, the gearing in first will be horrible. 82-83 will be much better, I think you will like this info.http://www.gracieland.org/cars....html
