If this has been asked before, my apologies. Will the headlights from a 99-01 Q45 fit on a 97-98 model? Obviously the connectors would be different, but I'm more concern with the fit.

Thanks!

EDIT: meant to say 97-98 model in the title

Yes, but you will not have in cabin adjustability.

Don't forget the ballasts.

Thanks!

I have ballasts and D2 bulbs, so no problem there.

I imagine this also impacts the high/low beam functionality......has anyone (after doing the swap) encountered the xenons cutting off when high beams are activated?

Only all 1999-2001 FGY33 owners. Foglights don't work either when high beams engadged.

It is a D2R bulb, not a D2S.

Do your low beam-xenons stay on as well while your high beams are engaged? How did you fix the foglight issue? Did you add a special relay?

Did they before? On all G50 and FGY33 I have seen, fog ights are turned off when high beams are employed.

nah no special relay. i guess it how i wired up the headlight. Sometimes the turn off but then again sometimes the dont. i do know, just to wire up the headlight them selfs i used 3 relay 2 for power for high and low beam and one for when you turn on the highs the lows stay on.

Once again your post is unintelligible but I'm going to cut you some slack cause I had me some beer.

I too find that a quart of the malt aids in ones comprehension and overall conviviality. I commend you on it's consumption. I would hoist a cup of brew in your general direction but I am too far into the Knob Creek at this juncture. To quaff a cold one now would blaspheme the blend.

Well anything directly wired to the battery can be on 24/7 until the battery dies.
