Just purchased a 2013 M56X AWD. The car has 20" RIMS. I need to start shopping for some snow tires. I'd like to go down 1 rim size to 19" to get a higher sidewall as it better in deep snow. Does anyone know if there is an issue with 19's clearing the brakes on this car? I've had no problems on other cars I've owned, but this thing has some huge brakes.

19's will be fine. My first set were 19's and now I have 20's.

The car comes stock with 18s so you'll be fine with 19s. The offset will be what you need to check.

He has the Sport package which come with 20's. As mentioned above, 19's fit but you must have the correct offset in order to clear the Sport BBK. Don't forget to get a "square" set-up which consists of the same wheel specs all around since you have AWD.

you'll be fine assuming yours is not the sport trim.

Unless I missed something he mentions having 20's on the car now, but not having the Sport Package. They are not inclusive of each other and he does not list the car as a M56xS. Just saying. :poke:

Previous owner probably threw sport 20's on it.

Or, it just has the Wheel/Tire package which includes the 20's and the huge brakes the OP mentions.
Wooddragon when searching for wheels I would just type in G37S as those came with 19 inch wheels so your results will show 19s that clear the brakes. Maybe even G37xS

Thanks for the great info guys, the OEM tires are 20, but its not the sport package. First week with the car, my smile gets bigger every time I drive it. I had my search narrowed down to an E550 and an Audi S5. So far I'm loving my choice.

so do you have OEM BBK (Big Brakes)? This will play the biggest roll as far as clearance issues. This is why I thought you had the Spot Package from reading your first post (mentioned 20's and big brakes).
