Looking at buying a set of Prodrive PFF-7s from a friend. Is +51mm to much offset for my car?

I don't see any listing for the OEM setup on the '10 G37 Sedan. But would guess the stock wheels are pretty close to +50, so my first guess would be 18x8 +51 would fit like factory wheels.

Edit: from quick google search stock 18x7.5 +45. The 18x8 +51 would be almost a 1/2 inch closer on the inside, I assume there is enough clearance on the inside of the wheel well for that. Only like .01 inch increase to the outside, no issue there.

Also looks like optional rear wheel is 18x8.5 +50. You would have more room with the 18x8 +51, so no issue.

Cool. Thanks guys. I called Discount Tire as I was told they would be able to tell me. They said the 2010 sedan should be able to run a +60 offset on 18x8s. I was thinking that a half inch wider wheel and adding 6 mm in offset should make it fit close to factory, but I wanted to make sure.

+60 offset would look terrible in my opinion. +50 offset would look like stock. +30-35 would fit even better.

Sorry to resurrect, but this thread is in-line w/ my inquiry.

If I did 18x8s all around with 245/45-18s in a 30-35mm offset as suggested, would it be good to have spacers for the rear, to achieve a flush look? I'm not too familiar with the G, and don't know if the fronts or rears are more "tucked". I know my girlfriend's '05 350Z Touring Roadster has a 17" staggered setup, but understand the 2nd gen G sedan is a different beast. I'm in the market for a 07-09 G35/7 sedan, and want some 18s in a non-staggered setup.

Thanks!

on a 8" wheel yes you could run spacers with those offsets.

Red_Det,

Thanks for the quick response! In your opinion, would spacers be needed with these wheels? I guesss what I'm getting at is: would either the front or rears look more "tucked" than the other? If it was your car, how would you run 18x8 +30mm offset wheels on all four corners? No spacers needed at all, front spacers, rear spacers? If so, what thickness? Sorry to be OCD, but I'd like to do this right.

Well in order to do it properly, one would just buy wheels with the offsets they wanted without spacer correction, but this is the real world. There are several factors to consider when fitting wheels that most people overlook. The number one overlooked question, is will I ever lower my car? Wheels always fit differently on lowered vehicles because of negative camber being added to the equation. If you don't plan on dropping the car, leave the wheels as they are. If you are going to lower the vehicle or already have, I would considering running a 10mm "bolt" on spacer front & rear.

R_D,

Thanks! EXACTLY what I wanted to know. I have no current plans to lower, and if I ever did, it'd be minimal. Maybe like a 1/2" drop or something, only if the tire gap was too much, but I'm thinking the 30mm offset & 8" wheel will help fill out the wheel well. I prefer a sleeper look. If I do land a G37, I plan to either shave the badges, or maybe install a G35 (or better yet G35x) logo. Car will be my DD, but intake, hi-flow cats, exhaust & tune will be done ASAP. May also do things like plenum spacer, TB coolant bypass (if Gs need this), and such also. I'm in El Paso, TX, so I wanna do what I can to feed it cooler air, LOL. Down the road I'd consider FI...maybe a small shot of NO2.

I would definitely start with the R2C intakes and move forward from there with exhaust and high flow cats. Anytime you want an intake or anything for that matter, let me know and I will take care of you!
