im not too sure about that ...my mom's infiniti fx35 18's could fit but i think that the tires are too much of a high profile to go on without rubbing

He only asked about the wheels. The wheels will fit but you'll need to get shorter tires. The stock FX35 tires would be 5.3 inches to tall and probably wouldn't fit in the wheel well. You would probably need a 35 series tire to get it to be close enuf to the stock size on the J.

Here's a cool link:http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

If you have HICAS you will need to disable it before you put the larger wheels on there.

Why? if he is going to keep the overall diameter close to the orginal (by using the right size of tires like a 235/40/18), i don't understand why you have to disble the HICAS, as i remember the rear wheel is only to turn a few degree at high speed.BTW the only way to see if the FX wheel is going to fit or not is to get the offset of the wheel, the Infiniti M/I wheel fit perfect in my car.

There is a well known issue with HICAS going out of alignment with anything above 16 inchs. HICAS was designed to work iptimally with 15 and 16 inch settings. Stay on the safe side and get the HICAS disable kit. Its available from a number of sponsers. Its not expensive and the instructions are pretty straightforward.

I really thank yall for the information I'm going to stay with the factory wheels seem like to much to deal with just to put some new wheels on the whip.
