Hi, I found a really good deal on Enkei RSE's, 17" x 7", 4x114.3 that I wanted to put on my 95 240sx. However, they have a positive 38mm offset, and I'm wondering a) if they will fit my car and b) if they will fit Yokohoma Parada 215/40ZR/15 lo pro tires...(I'm pretty sure they will, because they fit my 17"X7" ROH blades, but I just want some reinsurance!) Anyway, my car has Tokico gas shocks all around (not sure which model, they are blue though...), and eibach sportline springs which dropped it about an inch or a little more compared to stock. Will the wheels/tires clear? My 17" ROH's with the paradas had no problems clearing whatsoever, and the stock 4 lug alloys I'm running on it right now with 205/55/R15 tires seem to fit with a bunch of extra space in the wheel wells (do the stock 4 lug 15" alloys have any offset?). I just need your help as to whether these will fit or not before I sink money into them....For some closeup pics of my car with the ROH's on it, go to this website: http://blinkme7182.tripod.com/....htmlIf I knew the offset on the ROH's, I think I could answer my question by myself, but I don't know what the offset is, or if they even have it, so I couldn't judge! Thanks a lot,Marc

"if they will fit Yokohoma Parada 215/40ZR/15 lo pro tires"

NO. You cannot fit a 15" tire onto a 17" wheel!!

215 - treadwidth measured in millimeters across40 - aspect ratio: percentage of treadwidth that is sidewall height15 - RIM SIZE

Yeah, my bad, that was definitely a typo. (there wasn't a typo when I wrote it the first time, and then my post was accidentally deleted again). The paradas are 215/40ZR17 not ZR15...thanks for the heads-up though...

I thought positive wheel offset pushed the wheels more toward the fender and away from the suspension components, not toward the suspension and away from the fenders like the calculator told me! But, I can always use wheel spacers...

the offset is where the wheel mounts, in milimeters from the centerline of the wheel.. your proably thinking of "backspacing" where the a more positive(lower) number means a higher offset...

or maybe not.-chet(example: a 40mm offset wheel means where the wheels mounts is 40mm from the center of the wheel, 40mm toward the outside of the wheel...)

HA. A 38mm offset will move the wheel OUT 2mm. The extra width, 1/2", approx. 12.5mm, is still plenty to clear inside.

So will it , or will it not move the wheels out 38mm? According to the definition, it will move the wheel in 38mm...will it move out 2mm because of the extra width of the rim? I don't want stupid wheels that are sunk in the wells...

lets try this one more time, because obviously you didnt read my post before.......

read it again. the offset is NOT ****ING ZERO ON YOUR STOCK WHEELS. if it was, the hub plate/ring where the wheel mounts would be right in the centerline of the rim(in between the outer and inner lips). now, if your car CAME WITH 40mm offset, and you put 38mm offset, that rims hub sits 2mm farther toward the inner lip of the wheel than your stock ones. ****. hold on< i'll get you a diagram.

look at that until you understand.

Exar Kun...first of all, calm down. This wasn't meant to personally insult you. I understand what it is, yes I DID read your post, the only reason I got confused by using that offset calculator.
